Tesselaar Plants featured in Perennial Garden Ideas

March 25, 2017

Country Almanac’s 2017 edition of Perennial Garden Ideas is packed with solid how-to information and features plants that with a little time and effort, every home gardener can grow.  Much of this issue focuses on the pairing of plants for maximum impact in the garden.

Included in their “Bulb Buddies” piece, the editors explain that “Bulbs that peak in summer and beyond look right at home among more typical perennials”.  Tropicanna canna is featured as a perfect plant for “Summer Splendor” which pairs nicely with ‘Firetail’ fleeceflower.

Featured in “Classic Rose Companions” is Flower Carpet Amber, paired with ‘Junior Walker’ catmint. The authors suggest pairing roses with traditional herbs.  (With an eco-rose like Flower Carpet which requires no chemicals to keep it thriving, pairing roses with edibles is both easy and safe!)
