Flower Carpet recommended for seniors

In her recent column “Senior Column” in the Napa Valley Register, senior advocate Betty Rhodes gave senior gardeners a range of tips, from picking the right plants to selecting the most senior-friendly tools, with tips supplied by Rhianna Miller.

As part of her suggestions on choosing the right plants, Rhodes writes:  “If you’re set on having roses, you’re in luck: in hardiness zones 5-10 you can grow Flower Carpet Groundcover Roses which are resistant to disease and easy to prune.  All you need to get started is a good quality soil and some mulch.”
